For over 31 years — and more than 80 productions — Family Music Theatre (FMT) has been bringing families together through the power of live theatre. FMT has become a trusted place where art meets heart — a safe, family-friendly space for audiences and performers alike.
Each year, FMT produces 3 Mainstage productions and 3–4 Summer Camp productions, delivering the quality of professional theatre while remaining affordable for families in South Dallas. Our Summer Music Theatre Camps (ages 5–18) and year-round mentoring programs give young artists the tools, confidence, and community they need to thrive — and starting in 2026, we’ll launch new educational workshops and cabarets to expand opportunities even further.

To produce top quality musical theatre and entertainment that is guaranteed safe for the whole family; and to provide a welcoming environment where artists of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds can learn, develop, and share their unique abilities in the context of the creative arts.
Needs
Family Music Theatre (FMT), under Generations Institute for the Creative Arts (GIFCA), is raising funds to produce our 2027 season: 3 Mainstage productions and 4 Summer Camps that give kids the chance to shine.

Storage area to cover our lumber utilized in set construction - $15,000
Mic Headsets (6) — $1,074 so every voice is heard
3 iPads + Square readers — $1,500 to keep ticketing smooth

Costume Budget — $6,000 to transform stories into magic
Set Budget — $5,000 to build unforgettable worlds
Together, we’ve already raised $20,000 — but our year-end goal is $55,000. With your support, we can ensure that families in South Dallas continue to experience safe, affordable, professional-quality theatre and educational opportunities for years to come.
