GEM (www.gemcenters.org) is a registered 501(c)(3) Non-Profit entity with a 16,000 sq. ft. facility using state-of-the-art equipment. Its facilities are located at 6300 Independence Parkway, Ste A in Plano. 

  • No student is denied enrollment due to their inability to pay
  • All deserving students get subsidies on a case-by-case basis

GEM holds the following State Licenses and Accreditations 

  • Texas Health and Human Services (HHS)
  • Childcare Services (CCS/CCMS)
  • Texas Workforce Commission (TWC)
  • Texas Rising Star (TRS)
  • Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC)
  • COGNIA

GEM provides numerous Academic and Community Development services for children (aged 5-18 years), primarily serving residents of the Plano and NW Dallas areas. 

  • After School Programs (ASP). 
  • Multilingual Staff with Texas School Ready (TSR) certification.
  • Group Pickup is Available, wherever possible.
  • Homework Help
  • Math and English support, as needed
  • Diverse activities, including arts, crafts, and STEM
  • Structured sports
  • Healthy Snacks

 2. Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter break Camps with STEM-related activities.: We charge lower-end market pricing; even then, deserving students get subsidies, as needed.

 3. Robotics & Coding: We partner with community-established organizations (e.g., Wize Computing Academy) to offer robotics classes leading up to national competitions for interested students.

 4. SAT/Math/English tutoring classes; Individually or in small groups

 5. Structured College Counseling & Prep Program (Gr. 8 to 12)

  1. One-on-one counseling for every student in all modes
  2. Provides a path to your dream school (one of the top three chosen)
  3. College Applications Prep/Filing to ensure it stands out and is noticed
  4. Ensures that you meet or exceed all the scholarship criteria required by academic & non-academic Organizations/Foundations

 6. Youth Mentorship Program: Stanford-based PBL model “Purpose Compass” ensures that the students discover their skill sets, their passions, and merge these to create a unique purposeful project.

 7. Official Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award.

 8. Civic Hub Youth Leadership Program: Empowers young people to become active, engaged citizens and community advocates.

We aim to raise the next generation of youth to unlock their potential and help them find their purpose and a sense of belonging through Guidance, Education, and Mentorship (GEM).
