The Greg Dollgener Memorial AIDS Fund

A nonprofit organization

We are a 100% volunteer organization, founded to honor Greg Dollgener who died of AIDS in 1994. GDMAF was established in 1996 in his memory. We are a 501 C3 organization and have 2 major events each year - MetroBall ( GDMAF's largest fundraiser) and LifeWalk, where we are a partner agency and receive about 90% of the money we raise by having our own team - TEAM METRO.

We are a last resort - emergency organization and can react the same day if needed. The request must come from one of the 10 AIDS Service Organizations in North Texas that we work with , as we are a one-time emergency assistance organization and we want to make sure the clients are linked up with other larger organizations that can provide more services and long-term assistance.

Our Needs

We run out of our monthly allotment by the 3rd week of each month. Funding would help us to continue to fulfill all requests that come in for the month.

Our needs are to continue to find funds to assist those in emergency needs for the complete month.

Mission

The Mission of The Greg Dollgener Memorial AIDS Fund is to enhance the lives of people with HIV/AIDS in the North Texas area by providing Financial Assistance for critical needs when the resources through all other local AIDS organizations are exhausted. We also support Education in the fight against HIV and AIDS. We are known as a "Last Resort" emergency organization.
