Dogs for Better Lives’ (DBL) mission is to professionally train dogs to help people and enhance lives while maintaining a lifelong commitment to all dogs we rescue or breed and the people we serve. Headquartered in Central Point, OR, DBL acquires, trains and places Service Dogs nationally (including Texas), all at no cost to our clients. In addition to working with purpose-bred dogs, DBL also works with shelter dogs. In 2023, DBL launched its From Shelter to Service Dog Program in Carrollton, TX, working in partnership with Operation Kindness.
Dogs for Better Lives’ mission is to professionally train dogs to help people and enhance lives while maintaining a lifelong commitment to all dogs we rescue or breed and the people we serve.
Dogs for Better Lives (DBL) is requesting general donations to support its From Shelter to Service Dog Program. Costs associated with program, include staffing, dog evaluations, training, housing, transportation, and placement of shelter dogs with long-term foster raisers.
Once a shelter dog is certified (6-8 months), there are additional costs with placement and follow-ups (1, 4, and 7-yrs), as DBL has a lifelong commitment to each dog placed.
