From Ordinary to Extraordinary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed to empower women and girls, that have experienced domestic violence, through tools that will help them become profitable and functional within society through the teaching of skilled trades. We also provide long-term housing for young adults fleeing domestic violence. Birth with Purpose Maternity Home is a safe place for victims of domestic violence with small children to cope with parenthood while establishing a strong foundation that will allow them to build character, nurturing skills, home economics and learn a skilled trade.

Mission

From Ordinary to Extraordinary mission is to help women who have suffered from domestic violence resurface their existence within society, through teaching a skilled trade that will help them become self-sufficient and maintain a healthy life balance for their children.

Needs

We are in need of funds to help purchase workstation to afford our students access into their new careers. This will consist of a workstation for 3 months to provide salon and med spa services to their clients after graduation and earning their State License with TDLR.

Equity Statement

Just like any other career after training, a student will need to transition into their professional careers. At times, we don't have the slightest clue on where to start. At From Ordinary to Extraordinary, we position our students to be ahead of the curve. Through professional development of establishing their business before exiting our program, we are able to protect our investment by ensuring they reach self-sufficiency and able to maintain their ability to provide services. In turn, our students are able to make a living wage to support the wellbeing of themselves and children.
