Make Many Library Programs Possible
When the Richardson Public Library announced the plans to renovate the library to update the facility, we were all excited to see what the new library would be like. We knew this would be a long process since updates and remodeling are never a quick fix but a carefully considered process. The library renovation is over the halfway point with a projected finishing date in spring of 2026.
The City of Richardson and our fantastic library staff have created a warm and welcoming environment in a temporary location. Here, the vast majority of programs are still active and busy as usual. This is all possible with the help of donors like you. In the past, Friends of the Richardson Public Library (FOL) has been able to fund these programs with proceeds from the two semi-annual book sales, but these popular fundraising events were put on hold until the renovations could be completed. FOL made a commitment to keep these programs funded and even added new and exciting programs that will be debuting soon.
You may wonder how your donations are used by FOL to enrich the Richardson community. You, our donors, are the reason FOL has been able to continue supporting these wonderful programs during the remodeling period.
