Established in 1978, the Friends of the Van Alstyne Public Library is proud to celebrate 48 years of supporting our community library with vital programs and services. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization dedicated to enriching local minds and resources. We are participating in our 1st North Texas Giving Day and every dollar we raise goes directly back into supporting our library.
Our refreshed facilities are officially open and ready for community connection! While our modern upgrades created a vibrant setting for learning, one crucial piece is still missing: interactive tech for our youngest visitors. We are raising funds to install dedicated Bilingual STEM and Literacy Computers for kids ages 2 to 12. Help us spark a lifelong love of learning. Your give today directly equips local kids with the early learning tools they need to thrive.

Giving Activity
Mission
We are an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the Van Alstyne Public Library. We raise funds and solicit volunteer to support and encourage the entire community towards life-long learning. Programs at our library vary from traditional children's story time, gardening, cultural and community celebrations, financial learning, book clubs, game nights and so much more. The library holds FREE events all month long.

STEM Bilingual Literacy Computers for kids ages 2 to 12 - approx. $5,000
Summer Reading Program 2027 - $10,000 (for children events all summer long and prizes)
