$5,000 Goal

The Doris Padgett Public Library in Sunnyvale, Texas is a small but mighty library in a growing community. Our goal is to provide funds to enhance library programs, support their events with volunteers and to build our library community. We have done that through such events as Library Signup Month, Give Thanks for Books, Love Your Library Month, the Chamber of Commerce Community Expo, Summer Reading Program, crafts at the Sunnyvale Tree Lighting, National Night Out, 2 Little Free Libraries and the Sunnyvale Faire and Book Sale.

Mission

The purpose of this organization is to support the library by promoting knowledge and use of the Doris Padgett Public Library, providing funding for enhancing programs and enrichment materials and encourage volunteering at the library and our organization’s events.

Needs

In addition to continuing supporting the library programs, we would like to begin a Coding Club and introduce our community to 3D printing in our makers space.

Equity Statement

Equity to us means regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, zip code, health and ability status, or any other consideration — have equal opportunity to participate in our organization.
