The SoPac Trail is a vital connector to The LOOP – the 50-mile urban trail that links Dallas. When it comes to bringing people closer to nature, improving the trail, and making the experience a breath of fresh air for walkers, runners, and cyclists, Friends of the SoPac Trail are all in.

The mission of Friends of the SoPac Trail is to support the trail and align ourselves with all trail groups supporting the City of Dallas Hike and Bike Trails Masterplan.

We’ve got an ambitious list of projects that will enhance the trail further:

• Adding location signs to the trail

• Continuing graffiti paint-overs

• Adding irrigation and planting more trees

• Creating a wildflower area

• Adding a respite area and repair station for cyclists

• Tending the Pollinator Garden, including fertilizer, topsoil and mulch

• Hosting another neighborhood Garden Party

Equity Statement

Our support of the SoPac Trail and collaboration with other trail groups brings equitable access to the trail system to all parts of the city. As much as SoPac Trail is a vital link to Dallas geographically, it’s vital to our health too. Being surrounded by nature, spending more time in motion, supporting our fragile ecosystem, and collaborating with the community. All the way around, you’re contributing to the greater good.
