MEET OUR FREE MUSIC KIDS
Our Purpose We want to provide every child in America who is going through or who has been a life-threatening illness, with a BRAND NEW, 100% FREE, HIGH QUALITY INSTRUMENT! We currently serve all of TEXAS and have shipped to children in different states in America.
Instruments Provide Hope. When you’re going through cancer treatment or any life-threatening illness, Hope is hard to come by. By providing kids with instruments, we give them a chance to think of a life beyond the treatment. We get them thinking about their future. A time to look forward to and a reason to keep fighting. Instruments make kids happy and joy can be hard to come by during treatment.
When parents see their child happy, it makes the parents happy. Joy means hope and hope means strength. Strength to keep fighting. The hope and joy these instruments provide literally save lives. In addition to Free instruments we provide various musical opportunities to young people with a passion and gift for music, such as song writing and recording studio opportunities.
Our Story Our son Lion was diagnosed with leukemia at 7 months old. It was a total shock. We really had no idea what we were in for. He was given a 47% chance of surviving based on the statistics, though we were determined not to be a statistic. He was immediately placed on a 2-year chemo therapy treatment plan, where he would receive chemo multiple times a day for almost 800 days in a row.
We lived full time in the hospital with him for over 6 months. Against all odds he survived. Music played a critical role in Lion’s survival. We would constantly listen to positive music while in the hospital that would boost our faith and spirits. We always had a guitar in the hospital room we would play and write songs on and during this time Little Lion developed a huge passion for music.
Lion always had a couple drums, a keyboard or a guitar to keep him busy in the hospital. Now that he’s home and chemo free, Music has become a massive part of his life and future. These children have gone through treatment have incredible perspectives on life. They have had to fight battles not many can relate to. We believe their stories need to be told and their voices need to be heard through the gift of music. We give FREE INSTRUMENTS to kids fighting CANCER or any LIFE-THREATENING ILLNESS, to FREE THE MUSIC inside of them!
