SCHOLARSHIPS: Today the Foundation provides scholarships for graduating seniors in the Valley's thirty-three counties. In 2020, $75,000 was awarded to 50 graduating high school students. Since its origination, the Foundation has awarded close to $1,750,000 in scholarships. The Foundation has touched the lives of hundreds of students eager to explore, discover and better understand the world and their place in it.

TEXAS SCOTTISH RITE HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN: The Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children is a world leader in the treatment of pediatric orthopedic conditions. It strives to improve research, teaching programs and training physicians from around the world. TSRHC treats children with conditions such as scoliosis, clubfoot, hand disorders, hip disorders, limb length differences, as well as certain related neurological disorders, and learning disorders, such as dyslexia.

As a leading pediatric orthopedic center, the hospital has treated more than a quarter of a million children since its inception, with more than 40,000 clinic visits each year. In 2020, the Foundation gave $15,000 to the Hospital. Over the years, the Foundation has donated almost $400,000 for hospital operations.

FORT WORTH SCOTTISH RITE CAMP LEAPS at TCU: In 2020, the Foundation presented a gift to TCU's Davies School of Communication Sciences and Disorders of the Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences to support the development of CAMP LEAPS, a Summer Speech and Language Clinic for children with communication impairments. This summer clinic offers intensive, state-of-the-art service to children who have difficulty communicating their wants, needs, and ideas. This gift will allow up to 50 children to receive free services during the three-week clinic.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EDUCATORS: The Foundation provides scholarships to educators who participate in the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia, Dyslexia Therapist Training programs established by the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. The scholarships help cover the cost of attendance for educators from area schools who commit to spend a portion of their summers in the program.

ROTC AND JROTC RECOGNITION: The Foundation in partnership with the Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, SJ, and the Department of Defense annually recognizes outstanding ROTC and JROTC students at participating colleges and high schools within our service area. In 2020 over forty-five cadets were recognized.

Our Needs

In addition to the long-sponsored programs of College Scholarships to High School Seniors, gifts to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Scholarships for Dyslexia Training for Educators and Recognition of outstanding ROTC an JROTC students, the Fort Worth Scottish Rite Foundation has recently increased its commitment to the Language and Literacy Camp (Camp Leaps) at TCU so that it may offer intensive, state-of-the-art service to children who have difficulty communicating their wants, needs and ideas.

Your donation will help the Foundation to continue its tradition of supporting the youth of our communities.
