The Fort Worth Medical Orchestra is a community orchestra based in Fort Worth, TX. The ensemble comprises doctors, nurses, students, professional/amateur musicians, and other healthcare professionals. Out of about 40 medical orchestras in the U.S., the Fort Worth Medical Orchestra is the only such orchestra in North Texas.

Since our humble beginnings 3 years ago, our orchestra has grown both in size and impact. We have witnessed firsthand how music can touch the hearts of our entire community and how it revives passion in the souls of healthcare workers. Through the universal language of music, we serve as a source of hope, comfort, and inspiration in the DFW metroplex.

As we aim to expand our reach, we also strive to support a greater cause than ourselves. We make sure this is accomplished through:

^ A portion of all of our ticket sales and proceeds goes to the support of various healthcare initiatives and charitable organizations. We are committed to giving back to the community and furthering our mission to improve lives through music and medicine, making each note played an act of kindness and compassion. Help us set up our Chamber Music series, so we can bring the music to hospitals and retirement homes. We are determined to go beyond the walls of our current venue and meet those in need where they are, no matter where they are. With your help, we can collaborate and do this together.

^ As a group that is made up of healthcare workers, we understand the needs of those who need help the most. As musicians, we understand the healing power that music can have on others. Last year, we served over 100 students through free tickets and performance opportunities. You can help to make sure we impact the next student who could benefit from the healing of music.

^ Create partnerships between the FWMO and local musicians. Whether you are in college or a freelancer, we work hard to cultivate a community of musicians who accept all

Giving Activity

Mission

Our mission is to provide a creative outlet for local musicians who are also healthcare workers or students, to financially support educational and medically related charities, and to promote the enjoyment of live orchestral music to the Dallas - Fort Worth community at large.

Needs

We need you to continue our work.

While the FWMO is grateful for all of our patrons and visitors each year, especially as we are in the early stages of our impact and strategic plan. However, these sales alone do not provide the necessary resources for us to continue our ensemble of medicine and music.

Help us amplify our work. We have two kinds of needs at this moment:

I.) Administration

Our administration is composed of volunteers who give their time to develop the crossroads of art and science. Your donation ensures that the FWMO has a place to call home for rehearsals/concerts, and sheet music that allows us to inspire others through inspiring works. These collaborations are something we treasure, and without your support, we would be unable to build ourselves up as a cultural hub of activity in North Texas.

II.) From Stethoscopes to Symphonies: Expanding Our Impact

Last season, we started our student concerto competition, a wonderful partnership between the FWMO and the rising musical talent of North Texas. As we continue our journey of musical excellence, we invite you to help us expand our ability to collaborate with young musicians across the metroplex. Your donation helps connect us with those who want to make art and heal those who hear our music.

FWMO understands that many who could benefit from music may not be able to leave where they are. That is why we are starting the groundwork for our chamber series. A mobile version of the FWMO that can meet patients wherever they are.

Your donation today helps heal the souls of tomorrow.

Equity Statement

The Fort Worth Medical Orchestra provides equitable opportunity to orchestra players and audience members. Without the diversity that makes up North Texas, we would not be as vibrant, thoughtful, and collaborative.
