Fastell Girl Model2 Mentor Program

A nonprofit organization

FASTell Girl Model2Mentor Program exists to impact the increasing rates of depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation in at-risk underprivileged girls. Our organization was developed to give these young ladies hope for tomorrow beyond the scope of the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) they've encountered that have the potential of affecting their transition into adulthood. Our organization was developed to be in position to provide these young ladies with the resources and support they need to lead healthy fulfilled lives.

Holistic Approach to Healing:

FASTell Girl Model2Mentor Program embraces a holistic approach to healing, focusing on the mental, emotional, and social aspects of each girl we serve. Through our programs, we help girls learn behavior management skills such as social-emotional development, mood and anger management, as well as cognitive behavior and belief therapy. We believe that by addressing the root causes of behavioral health issues, we can empower these young women to overcome their challenges and thrive.

Mentorship and Support:

At the core of the FASTell Girl Model2Mentor Program, our Mentoring Initiative is an unique platform designed to foster growth, resilience, and confidence in our girls. We believe that direct interaction with positive role models and mentors can profoundly impact their journey, enabling them to visualize and pursue their dreams despite past or present adversities.

Our mentoring initiative is grounded in partnerships with women who have achieved academic or professional success in fields our girls aspire to.  These women come from diverse backgrounds, ranging from entrepreneurship, social work, administrative support, digital and technology, and education, mirroring the multifaceted ambitions of our girls.

FASTell Girl Model2Mentor Program goes beyond simple mentor-mentee relationships. It creates a supportive network of role models that nurture resilience and instill belief in the girls' capabilities. By enabling our girls to witness women succeeding in their desired paths, we aim to foster an environment of motivation and perseverance, encouraging them to chart their own path of success.

Academic and Professional Empowerment:

FASTell Girl Model2Mentor Program goes beyond emotional support; we understand the importance of education and career development in breaking the cycle of poverty. Our tutoring and academic support programs are designed to drive academic success. Additionally, we engage the girls in career-building activities, preparing them for the future and contributing to creating a generation of strong, educated, and independent women.

Community Engagement and Advocacy:

FASTell Girl Model2Mentor is not only an intervention program but also a community. We actively involve parents, guardians, and community members to foster an environment that supports the girls’ growth and development. We also advocate for policies and actions that promote the well-being of underprivileged girls, spreading awareness about the challenges they face and how society can contribute to making a difference.

Building a Brighter Future:

In the end, FASTell Girl Model2Mentor Program is more than just a program; it’s a movement towards building a brighter future for at-risk underprivileged girls. Through education, mentorship, therapy, and community engagement, we are shaping empowered young women who are capable of breaking the chains of their circumstances and making positive contributions to society. Our ultimate goal is to see every girl who walks through our doors blossom into a strong, fulfilled, and independent adult.

Equity Statement

At FASTell Girl Model2Mentor Program, we are firmly committed to equity in every aspect of our work and mission. We believe that every girl, regardless of her socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, religion, or background, deserves the opportunity to lead a fulfilled, healthy, and productive life. Our vision is for ALL girls to have ACCESS to a higher quality of life.

We acknowledge that at-risk underprivileged girls often face systemic barriers that prevent them from realizing their full potential. Our mission is to dismantle these barriers through our B.E.T. System of Behavior Management, Exposure and Environment (Mentoring), and Tutoring (Academic, Professional, and Lifestyle Advisement). We focus not only on addressing the symptoms of these systemic inequities but also on combating their root causes.

Our commitment to equity extends to our team, our board, our volunteers, and our community partnerships. We strive to build an inclusive culture that respects and values diverse perspectives and experiences. This diversity strengthens our ability to serve our girls and to effect positive change in the communities we serve.

In our pursuit of equity, we pledge to continuously examine our policies, practices, and programs to ensure they foster fairness, inclusivity, and opportunity. We also commit to listening, learning, and evolving as we deepen our understanding of the systemic inequities that affect the girls we serve.

Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that every girl we work with has the resources, support, and opportunities she needs to overcome adversity, thrive in her personal and academic life, and become a strong, independent adult. Together, we can create a future where every girl has the chance to shine, regardless of where she started her journey.
