Suffering ends. Sanctuary begins.
Located on 10 hilly acres surrounding our FHF Skincare headquarters, our registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit farm animal sanctuary provides 24/7 care for some of the most challenging animal cruelty and neglect cases.
Our uniquely skilled team of employees focuses on starvation cases, life-threatening injuries, long-term special needs like blindness, amputations, chronic ailments, and senior/end-of-life care.
Beyond the rehabilitation of animals, we host over 1,000 tour visitors, including dementia and special-needs groups, high school & college education programs, and corporate volunteer groups. Together, these programs have contributed tens of thousands of dollars to our FHF Sanctuary and supported over 2,000 messages sent to House of Representatives members to support the Safe Act to end the shipping of equines to slaughter.
The three pillars of our mission:
Rescue
We rescue animals in the greatest need, many of which are destined for slaughter. These animals have suffered extreme abuse, neglect, starvation, injuries, and accidents. We specialize in starvation refeeding programs, injuries requiring surgery and long-term rehabilitation, elderly care, blindness, life after amputation, and more.
Rehabilitate
Our team consists of 8 employees, including degreed animal science professionals, veterinary technicians, ranch handlers, equine trainers, and dedicated animal advocates. Thanks to our unique backgrounds and the support of our volunteers, our rehabilitation programs include daily specialized feedings, medical care, focused therapies, and enrichment.
Reimagine
We seek out leading-edge veterinary services for the animals in our care. And we follow 2 guiding principles:
1. Every animal is family. We are their advocate, and they will be cared for as we would a human family member;
2. Ensure quality of life. Would the animal thank us if we met them again when we cross the rainbow bridge? This is our guide.
Innovative Medicine |

Individualized quality of care is incredibly important to us, so we have established a network of top veterinarians, surgeons, and hospitals to provide specialized treatment for the animals in our care. We drive 3 hours if necessary, and fly in leading specialists to ensure the most advanced therapies and medicines are applied.
From a novel custom vaccine to advanced wound care tools, prosthetics, comfort boots, and unique hoof trimmings, we believe in finding, supporting, and advancing the use of proven therapies so that they become more readily available and commonplace in helping animals heal.
2024 Impact
We ended 2024 with 58 forever residents. In 2024, we welcomed 10 new FHF Sanctuary residents and said tearful goodbyes to 7 beloved animals, helping them to cross the Rainbow Bridge. 15 horses and donkeys also came to live and heal at our FHF Sanctuary through our Foster to Heal Partnership Program, allowing us to support other rescues in the first critical stage of rescue and care.
Our Immediate Need: Hay Cart Donation & Recovery Village Expansion
1. We have an $11,000 Match for a Hay Cart purchase! Will you help us achieve our fundraise goal, so we are prepared this winter? We opened our lower 5 acres, to accommodate even more Foster-To-Heal rescues. The Can Defender PRO DPS HD10 has an extra-long bed in the back that allows us to reach all areas of the property, to fill hay bags and bring feed buckets. It has rugged wheels that get our team through the mud as well. With this 2nd cart, our skilled team can be ready to assist 20 new cases at any given time, as they heal and move on to their forever destinations.
2. Be part of creating our next Recovery Village! This multi-phase project includes Memorial Brick and Fence Post & Medical Stall Sign donations-- making you a forever part of the Village. Plus many naming high-impact opportunities!

When you donate to the FarmHouse Fresh® Animal Sanctuary, you are making a direct and immediate impact — with 100% of your donation going to save neglected animals and provide critical medical care, housing, and nutrition. Be part of their journey and become a lifesaving member.
At the FarmHouse Fresh® Farm Animal Sanctuary, we rescue, rehabilitate and provide a forever home to neglected animals needing immediate help, and long-term specialized care.
Animals deserve better than to be be discarded carelessly. They were loved family members, workers, and companions and the suffering they experience will only stop if we collectively merge our efforts to make sweeping change. We're doing just that. Collaborating with other rescues and pushing for legal changes in the humane treatment of animals, including the passing of the SAFE Act to end the shipping of horses and donkeys to brutal slaughter processes in Mexico & Canada.
