Farmersville Historical Society is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization formed to preserve the rich history of the Farmersville, TX area. In 1989, the Bain-Honaker House was donated to the historical society in public trust. Today we use the home to educate people on the founders of Farmersville, TX, and their way of life from the mid-19th century through WWII.

We also old many annual events at the house as well as community events, such as our Annual 1900 Day for the local elementary school, Old Time Saturday, Audy Murphy Day, and a holiday open house.  These events are for the benefit of the community and donations we receive from these activities and our Annual Spring Luncheon help cover the expenses for these events.

The house is also open for tours on the first Saturday of each month from 11 am – 3 pm. Private tours are available by sending us an email at FarmersvilleHistoricalSociety@gmail.com

Our motto is "Preserving Our Past For Our Future."
