F-P Assistance

A nonprofit organization

FP Assistance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger and childhood obesity by supporting low-income and nonprofit early education and after-school programs across Texas. Through our signature initiative, The Garden Project, we provide financial assistance, install raised garden beds, and offer hands-on nutrition education for both children and staff. Our mission is to ensure every child has access to fresh, healthy foods while learning the value of gardening, sustainability, and wellness. By cultivating healthier habits at an early age, FP Assistance helps children grow, thrive, and build a stronger foundation for lifelong health.

Giving Activity

Mission

FP Assistance’s mission is to reduce hunger and obesity among children in Texas and to be a leader in nutrition education. Understanding that there is a clear link between childhood hunger, childhood obesity, and poverty, we work with groups which interact with and care for low-income children the most, early education centers and after-school programs (sites). FP Assistance sponsors these sites on the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
