Essential Life Skills Corporation-Life Skills for Teens-Serving the Dallas-Fort Worth community, our nonprofit equips teens with the real-world skills they need to succeed in life. We host free community events taught by entrepreneurs, certified specialists, and professionals who volunteer 100% of their time. Every penny raised goes back into our programs-no salaries, just service to the community. Each event includes free breakfast and lunch so no teen misses out.
Our Courses Include:
Why we Do It!
We believe every teen should leave home prepared to thrive. Our programs are completely free because we never want cost to be a barrier to learning. Every coach is an experienced professional, passionate about giving back. With your donation, we can expand our reach, offer more courses, and equip more young people with the skills to build successful, independent lives.
Our mission is to empower teens with the essential life skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive as independent, responsible, and successful adults-through free, hands-on, practical skills courses. Empowering teens today for a stronger tomorrow.
As a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit, every dollar we receive goes directly toward serving teens in our community. To continue offering our programs at no cost, we rely on the generosity of donors to help cover essential expenses, including:
Event supplies: Journals, pens, course materials, and educational handouts for each participant.
Participant shirts: To promote unity, pride, and community connection among students.
Meals: Nutritious breakfast and lunch for every attendee at each event to ensure no teen goes hungry while learning-which we are proud to purchase from locally owned family businesses in the areas we serve.
Venue Costs: Rental fees for safe, accessible community spaces where our programs can take place.
Program Expansion: Funding to host a summer camp that offers extended training and deeper learning experiences for teens.
Special equipment: CPR training supplies, vehicle maintenance tools, and kitchen safety materials.
Your contribution directly provides the tools, space, and nourishment that make our free, hands-on courses possible. With your support, we can continue preparing North Texas teens with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to build a successful future.
We believe every teen-regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, ability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, or life circumstance-deserves access to the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in life. Our programs are free, inclusive, and designed to remove barriers that prevent young people from reaching their full potential.
We are committed to creating a welcoming and respectful learning environment where diversity is celebrated, voices are heard, and all participants feel valued and supported. Through intentional outreach, equitable access to resources, and community collaboration, we work to ensure that every teen has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
