Equines for the Front Lines brings horses and veterans together. Time with horses may ease the challenges of PTSD by improving sleep, reducing anxiety, creating confidence, and providing a sense of peace. Any veteran, regardless of the conflict or circumstances, is welcome to participate. There is no charge, no obligation, and no prior horse experience needed.

Peer-to-peer support Sometimes veterans need to connect with other people “who understand.” The shared experience of veterans is a powerful bond. Through our train the trainer program, veterans learn to teach lessons and activities, as well as provide moral and physical support to other veterans.

Equines for the Front Lines provides a sanctuary where “Thank you for your service” is sincere. It offers an environment of safety and relaxation in a small group setting. Veterans participate in a variety of activities and experiences with the horses. The program includes time for fellowship with other veterans, horsemanship presentations, and hands-on demonstrations. Veterans work with the horses on the ground and in the saddle. Off-site trips to local equine professionals and facilities provide additional experiences.

Mission

To support and empower those who serve and protect us through the use of horses and a horse culture.

Needs

We're so excited to announce the construction of Heroes Hall – a one-of-a-kind free-standing meeting facility designed to serve our heroes who wore the uniform!

Your donation to Equines for the Front Lines through North Texas Giving Day will help us make this a place of peace and recovery. In this fellowship hall, we will gather for meals and meetings before heading to the barn for time with our equine partners.

And we're thrilled to partner again with Starr Construction who is providing a matching grant - meaning every dollar we raise will be matched up to $2,500!

Equity Statement

Equines for the Front Lines provides services to all veterans, service members and first-responders regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, zip code, health and ability status, or any other consideration
