At Empower The Voice, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to dream big and achieve their goals. Our mission is to advance opportunities for Hispanic students in Texas by empowering families to engage in leadership, language acquisition, and the transition to college and career.

We know that families are the true experts in their children’s lives. When parents are given the right tools, knowledge, and confidence, they become powerful advocates for student success. That is why we work at the grassroots level—building strong relationships and equipping families with the resources they need to support their children’s education.

Through our programs, we help the youth we serve and their families strengthen their capabilities, build connections with schools and community partners, and increase their confidence to take action. Whether it’s navigating language barriers, understanding the college admissions process, assisting with scholarships and funding, or advocating for quality education, Empower The Voice ensures families never have to walk this journey alone.

Our strategic focus areas—College & Career Readiness, Language Acquisition, and Family Leadership, —create pathways for long-term success. We provide workshops, leadership training, and resources that allow families to actively participate in their children’s academic journeys, while also preparing students to thrive in postsecondary education and future careers.

Every voice matters. Our voices have history, feelings, colors, and power—the power to transform by being heard. Together, with the support of our community, we are breaking barriers, creating access to opportunities, and ensuring Hispanic students have the chance to reach their highest potential.

By supporting Empower The Voice, you are investing in stronger families, thriving students, and a brighter future for North Texas.

Equity Statement

Equity Statement

At Empower the Voice, we believe that a mother’s dream for her child should never be lost in translation. Yet in Dallas County, where more than 40% of the population is Hispanic, families too often face language, cultural, and systemic barriers that leave them feeling uninvited to their child’s education.

These barriers are misinterpreted as a lack of interest, fueling the myth of the “uninvolved parent.” In reality, mothers and parents who work jobs without flexible hours or who are still learning English are among those most affected, yet they are deeply committed to their children’s success. When families are left out, children lose critical support to navigate college and career pathways, reinforcing inequities in education and opportunity.

At Empower the Voice, we are changing that. Our approach is simple and powerful: equipping families, en español, to navigate college and career pathways early and with confidence. Our innovation is putting moms, the key influencers in family decision-making, at the center of change, not just as participants, but as leaders who shape solutions and influence systems. By building partnerships with schools, colleges, and community institutions, we are launching a new era of family engagement, one where families are not on the margins, but at the heart of every decision shaping their children’s future.
