What We Do
Elevate North Texas works to fill the gap in youth homeless services in DFW. We're the only non-profit specific to North Texas that provides emergency shelter for youth in crisis age 18 to 24 with programming designed to meet the unique needs of homeless young adults.

As we approach the two-year anniversary of running our Emergency Shelter Program, one thing has become clear: We must expand our services to help even more at-risk youth in North Texas. 

Our waiting list grows longer with each day, but thanks to the generous support of our community, we now have the appropriate staff and systems in place to take on a greater number of youth. There is just one piece missing- The rooms! 

Our $20,000 goal this North Texas Giving Day will allow us to add an additional hotel suite to our program, which will provide an additional 1,095 nights of shelter over the course of a year! This is a 50% increase in our current capacity, and an ambitious goal, but we have faith that you will help us meet it.

Your gift is the difference between a young person sleeping in the park or in a safe, private hotel room. It is the difference between going hungry or having a warm meal. Most importantly, it is the difference between a youth feeling isolated and alone during the most challenging time in their life, or being in a place where they know someone cares.

About Our Programs

1. 30 Day Hotel Program: We partner with hotels in North Texas to provide hotel stays for youth/young adults in immediate need of shelter. In addition to food, safety and necessities, we offer resources to help them obtain a living income and build skills that set the stage for long-term success. 
2. Host Home Program: We work with trusted and vetted families to host pre-screened youth/young adults for up to four months, during which they receive case management, counseling, and life skills training.  
3. Reunification & Diversion Program: When possible and appropriate, we work to reunite families to keep youth/young adults from ever entering the homeless system.
