About Us

As the only crisis shelter serving young persons between the ages 18-24 in North Texas, Elevate North Texas exists to operate programs that provide immediate resources for homeless youth while setting them up with long-term plans to break the cycle of homelessness. Since inception, we have worked to fulfill our mission through two main programs: Short-Term Housing and Reunification & Diversion.

With a housing-first approach, Elevate North Texas meets the young person where they are and their unique needs. Every person and their journey to housing stability is different. A young person may be with us for a brief time, as we can connect them with an extended family member for reunification – or they may be with us for a longer period to find a more permanent housing solution past our short-term transitional housing. The goal is always for youth to obtain and remain in stable, sustainable housing.

Elevate North Texas serves nearly 160 youth experiencing homelessness annually with the support of 35 community partners and volunteers.

On any given night in North Texas, over 3,500 people are experiencing homelessness – over 5% are youth ages 18-24. We need your help to break the cycle.

When you give today, it’s more than just housing:

  • It’s a warm meal for someone who hasn’t eaten in days
  • It’s fellowship with people who care when you’ve been isolated and alone
  • It’s no longer being afraid and having a safe place to sleep
