We meet at the center at 8:00am Monday through Friday and begin with fellowship over coffee & breakfast, our days are scheduled on a calendar so they can choose what days they want to participate in. We provide exercise routines, games of mental and physical perplexity, singing, bible study, entertainers, classes to help with memory retention and hot lunch until 1:00pm. We also have outings or field trips to various places such as a movie, plays, lunch and or an occasional concert. We provide classes that help with muscle and memory retention, CPR, Alzheimer awareness, how to use technology safely, etc. We have a van that we are able to transport members to their doctor appointments, prescriptions and grocery shopping needs by appointment. We have a dedicated board of directors that are greatly concerned for their health and wellbeing and work hard to bring awareness to elder community and their needs.
Our center operates daily to meet the needs of seniors in our community. Our needs are always centered around their needs. With the current economy it takes more funding to keep the center open and operational. We have dedicated donors and fundraisers; however, the need is greater than a year ago.
To provide Seniors of our community the opportunity for social, physical, mental and spiritual activities that encourage the delay of nursing home or homebound care.
