East Dallas Arts

East Dallas Arts is a nonprofit organization with a mission to bring the community together by providing opportunities to develop an appreciation for the arts through performance, education and arts experiences. Founded in 2018, we strive to make arts accessible to all, nurturing creativity and talent in a supportive environment.

🎭 There are so many ways to be involved in the arts, both on and off the stage!

Warm-ups, vocal coaching, choreography, blocking, stage presence, rehearsal techniques, and team-building are part of each program. And those working behind the scenes are busy bringing our productions to life! Join us for a variety of programming! There is something for everyone!

✨At East Dallas Arts, we believe that everyone should have TONS of moments to shine!✨

"East Dallas Arts was born out of a passion for community and creativity. With your support, we can continue to make the arts a vital part of life in East Dallas." – Tom Parr and Amy Kulas

The ART of Theatre Class

Tuesdays, beginning September 8, step into the world behind the curtain and discover how creativity brings a production to life! In this hands-on visual arts class, students will explore the artistic side of theatre by designing and creating scenery, painting backdrops, building props, crafting costumes, and adding the finishing touches that make each performance magical.

Students will learn a variety of artistic techniques while working both independently and collaboratively on both of our fall productions, Trolls The Musical Jr. and Anastasia: The Musical. From sketching ideas to painting large-scale sets, this class encourages creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork as students help transform the stage into a world of imagination.

Whether you’re an aspiring artist, designer, or theatre lover, The ART of Theatre is the perfect place to create, collaborate, and make the magic happen behind the scenes!

This class meets every Tuesday this fall, beginning September 8 from 4:25pm-5:55pm. The last class for the semester will take place on December 8.
