The Assist the Officer Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports first responders and their families when faced with life altering events.  Founded in 1999, the ATO has made a positive impact in the lives of thousands by providing financial assistance when there is loss of income due to serious injury, life threatening illnesses or death of an officer.

In 2004, the ATO implemented an innovative, confidential counseling service exclusively for Dallas area first responders.  These services help individuals emotionally navigate difficult issues such as depression, anxiety and PTSD.  They were created specifically for first responders, by professionals and other first responders, to address their needs. This collaboration has been a huge success and as resources allow, will continue to grow.  It has and will continue to make a tremendous difference in many lives.
