Your dog’s new favorite spot is just a fetch away.

Downtown Dallas Parks Conservancy (DDPC) builds, stewards, and advocates for Downtown's signature parks—nurturing green spaces that inspire, endure, and connect. In partnership with the Dallas Park and Recreation Department, DDPC has delivered a network of distinctive Downtown parks—including Civic Garden, Carpenter Park, Harwood Park, Lubben Plaza, Pacific Plaza, and West End Square — turning concrete into great places for people.

Now we’re bringing new energy to Civic Garden with a community dog park—featuring safe play areas, shaded seating, and separate spaces for big and small dogs. It’s more than a play space: it’s where friendships form, tails wag, and Downtown feels a little more like home.

This North Texas Giving Day, toss a bone to your Downtown parks.

Your donation will help build the Civic Garden dog park and keep all downtown parks vibrant and welcoming. Supporting the dog park means investing in a place where neighbors, families, and four-legged friends can gather.

“The magic of our Downtown parks is that they are for everyone… fleeting but pivotal connections are made through the shared joy of watching children play, seeing dogs pass by, or sharing simple hellos and smiles. These spaces allow us to be in community with one another, without barriers or fees, helping our city prosper in immeasurable ways.” — Ashlee Hueston

Mission

The Conservancy advances the long-term development and support of public parks in Downtown Dallas.

We build, steward, and advocate for these signature parks—nurturing green spaces that inspire, endure, and connect our community.

Needs

Help us build a Dog Park at Civic Garden. Your gift of any size brings us closer to this much-needed amenity, serving the thousands of Downtown residents, workers, and visitors (and their dogs!) who rely on Civic Garden as their backyard every day.

Equity Statement

As a long-term champion and advocate of Downtown Dallas parks, we will continue to listen to our community and cultivate an urban park system where all people - no matter the color of their skin, ethnicity, age, income level, sexual orientation, gender, religion, or ability - feel welcome, and can access the benefits of nature and play in Downtown.
