Violence not only kills and causes emotional harm but leaves many with long term disabilities. Victims of violent crime and their families experiences great devastation and their lives drastically change. The victims with long term and short term disabilities have additional needs and challenges. DCVA is there for the victim and family to  assist with finding resources, applying for Texas Crime Victim Compensation, Informing them of Crime Victim's Rights, explaining disability resources and how to apply.

We also provide education and outreach in the community to increase the awareness that crime victims with disabilities have and how to assist them better.
