$15,000 Goal

Your gift sustains a ministry outpost to thousands of college students. Your gift ensures a safe and welcoming home for college students in need of healing from adverse religious experiences. It supplies food and comfort to young people supporting themselves through school. It shares Christ's hopeful future with our students, and enables them to embody Christ's hopeful future for themselves, each other, the Church, and the world.

Our Needs

1. Developing New Leaders - Through our Lead Team ministry and internship program, we are empower young people to claim their needed place in building God's Reign on earth. Our students develop programs, lead small groups, and take part in visioning and executing the big dreams God has given them. We are striving to develop new leaders for the church and the world through paid internships, funding student projects, and free leadership training and discernment opportunities.

2. Stewardship of our Resources: We are blessed with a building near UNT's campus which has been the host to a long legacy of transformative ministry to college students. We do not take this sacred space for granted. To ensure we steward this great gift well, we must raise funds to give our building the necessary care that will ensure its effectiveness is our legacy. Addressing repairs and updates to our building will help us ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students and other stakeholders who utilize our space.

Mission

The Denton Wesley Foundation is a United Methodist Campus Ministry serving University of North Texas, Texas Woman's University, and North Central Texas College. We invite, disciple, and empower college students as Christian leaders so that they will discern and fulfill their place in bringing about the world God wants.

Equity Statement

The Denton Wesley Foundation affirms the inherent worth of all people created in God's image. We acknowledge and lament the historical and current inequity which demeans God's children. Racism - systemic, subconscious, intentional, or other - is a significant, ongoing, and present evil. Intersectional oppression cries for our attention and action. The Denton Wesley Foundation is committed to partnering with God to build a world where the sacredness of black and brown lives is valued and the safety, actualization, and thriving of black and brown lives is ensured.
