A dog with a traumatic past has a bright future at home!
For Butter, just being able to enjoy the little things in life was a big step. Butter was found wandering alone in a neighborhood hoping to find a safe place to rest. Thanks to some very good samaritans, Butter was trapped and taken to the Linda McNatt Animal Care & Adoption Center where soon she would be adopted. Unfortunately, Butter wasn’t feeling well during her stay at the shelter or when she went to her new home. Her very concerned family took her to the veterinarian right away to find out she had a bad case of kennel cough and an infection in her mouth. Butter’s family wanted her to be healthy and happy, so DASF offered to help cover the cost of treatment. Butter’s family was very grateful to the foundation for this assistance. Butter’s new life is now full of playful days with her other fur siblings and much love from her human family as well. Butter had many people on her side wanting to give her the best life possible!
Spot & Boots go from itchy to healthy and happy once again!
It is no secret that here in Texas, the fleas can get a little out of control. Spot & Boots were doing cat things and keeping their yard free of those unwanted grasshoppers and such, but they were not able to keep the fleas out of the yard. In fact, the fleas took over everything including the cats! It was going to take more than a spa day for the felines to feel better again. What they needed was a visit to the Denton Vet Center and financial help from DASF to get the best flea control possible to get them flea-free. Thanks to the wonderful veterinarians, staff, and DASF, Spot and Boots were able to get rid of the fleas and return to daily trips out in the yard and not have to worry about pesky fleas anymore.
