About Dr. Kerwin & Dementia Studies Foundation
As a leading physician and clinical expert in the field of Alzheimer’s and other dementias, Diana R. Kerwin, MD, CPI has dedicated her research career to better understanding root causes, treatment options, and ultimately discovering a cure for Alzheimer’s, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Lewy Body and other dementias.
Beyond science, treatment, and research, Dr. Kerwin’s work has always been powered and inspired by her patients, their families, and those that make up the community of care for loved ones living with neurodegenerative diseases.
Seed funded and inspired by those same patients and families, Dementia Studies Foundation (DSF) was founded in 2018 by Dr. Kerwin. DSF is a non-profit organization committed to raising awareness and extending access to the best options for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care to every family, in every community touched by dementia.
With each new opportunity, medical breakthrough, or community partnership we are encouraged to move closer towards our vision of “no barriers to dementia research, education, diagnosis, and treatment for any one in any community.”
We Work To...
- Eliminate Barriers to Diagnosis, Treatment, and Care
- Build Bridges for Future Clinical and Non-Clinical Alzheimer's and Dementia-Related Needs; and
- Encourage Prevention and Proactive Brain Health Care
We do this through relationships/partnerships, education, events, projects, and special initiatives.
Dementia Studies Foundation works to help eliminate barriers to dementia research, education, diagnosis, and treatment for any one in any community.
We build trust, equip the community, empower people, and encourage inclusive approaches to evidence-based brain health by eliminating barriers and building bridges to a brighter cure-focused future for those impacted by dementia diseases.
