Armatha Mayfield's Journey: Rest Restored
I honestly don’t think I would’ve made it through without Felicia's support for both me and my baby girl. She allowed me to process the raw truth of my motherhood journey, the highs and the gut-wrenching lows, without ever making me feel judged or ashamed. Even all the way down to offering to bathe me when I was going through a health crisis, and had a catheter that limited the care I could give myself and my daughter. That kind of support is rare, and I’ll always be grateful. I hold so much reverence for her, not just as a doula, but as a woman with a truly beautiful and healing spirit.
Coming out of a really stressful situation, having Felicia as part of my support system was life changing. I was emotionally maxed out, and just having her in my corner gave me the strength to keep going. The moment I knew how deeply she cared was when I called her at around 3 or 4 in the morning.
She didn’t judge me. She didn’t shame me. She didn’t make me feel like I was failing.She loved me through it. She even had the owner of the center call me directly. No woman has ever stepped in for me like that. I broke down crying from the sheer kindness and care. Felicia didn’t just show up as a doula, she showed up as a sister, an advocate, and a genuine protector. Her presence in my life during that time was nothing short of divine. Anyone who gets to experience her care is beyond blessed.

1 in 3 mothers face complications after birth, often returning to the ER without proper support. The Postpartum Healing Center will change that offering mothers what they need most: rest, recovery, and care. Every dollar brings us closer to opening a community hub that prevents crises, saves lives, and keeps families out of the ER. Together, we can eliminate maternal mortality and give mothers the support they deserve.

Our mission is to significantly reduce maternal mortality rates among mothers in Texas, where disparities reflect deep-rooted inequalities within our healthcare system. By focusing on the crucial postpartum phase, we aim to safeguard the health and well-being of mothers, fostering healthier families and stronger communities.
General Operating, donations to our Community Based Postpartum Doula program, our newly launched Parent Wellness Network program, moms recovery items such as: breastfeeding items, baby wearing wraps, socks, robes, menstrual pads, etc.
Our mission requires collaboration. Delighted to Doula partners with healthcare providers, community organizations, and policymakers to create a supportive ecosystem for mothers.
Through these strategic alliances, we amplify our impact, reaching more mothers and advocating for policies that support maternal health equity.
