$5,000 Goal

Degree Partners (formerly PelotonU) is a nonprofit college support partner offering a degree pathway for students who are balancing work, life, and family—or some combination of all three. We find, enroll, and coach students through competency-based college degree programs. We offer 1:1 coaching, and our university partners offer flexible, online coursework, so you can earn your Associate of Arts (AA) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) without putting your life or career on hold.

Since 2012, we have provided college and career advising to 2,400+ prospective students, formally welcomed 630+ students into our program, and had 250+ graduates earn 300+ AA and/or BA degrees.

  • Our on-time graduation rates are about double the average for part-time students at 2- and 4-year universities around the country.

  • 79% of our graduates never took out a loan.

In November 2024, we issued a survey of our alumni and learned the following:

  • 86% of our graduates are employed full-time.

  • 56% of our graduates moved into a job that better aligns with their long-term life and career goals.

  • 73% of our graduates have gained access to health insurance; added to their savings and/or retirement; purchased their first car and/or home; decreased debt; and/or decreased reliance on government assistance.

  • 63% of our graduates are earning a higher salary than their parents.
  • 97% of our graduates would recommend Degree Partners.

Giving Activity

Mission

Our mission is to empower students to earn high-value degrees, so they can unlock more opportunities in their lives and careers.

Needs

Your support of Degree Partners directly removes the financial and structural barriers that stand between working adult students and their college degrees. Our goal for this campaign is to raise $5,000 to provide intensive coaching and wraparound support to local students across Dallas and Tarrant counties, ensuring they can persist in college, earn their degrees, and advance in their careers. These vital funds will be deployed where they are needed most—supporting critical emergency grants for unexpected tuition costs, hosting flexible weekend study sessions, and providing foundational academic onboarding. By helping us reach our $5,000 goal, you are creating a vital safety net that ensures North Texas students don't have to pause their education, transforming the futures of local families for generations to come.

Equity Statement

Our vision is a more expansive view of who can be successful in college, so that more people can be recognized and rewarded for their talent, dedication, and skill.

Students First – We center students in everything we do.

Belonging – Everyone has a place here.

Impact – We challenge the status quo to create change.

Integrity – We keep our word.

Continuous Improvement – We raise the bar.
