As the non-profit, philanthropic partner of Dallas ISD, the Dallas Education Foundation aligns with the District's strategic initiatives and partners with business leaders, residents, and philanthropic community to enable economic mobility for our 140,000 scholars.



Mission

The Dallas Education Foundation (DEF) is the designated non-profit philanthropic partner of Dallas Independent School District. Our mission is to inspire community investment to accelerate student success for every one of Dallas ISD's 140,000+ students. Our vision is a galvanized community whose resources support the transformative work that makes Dallas ISD the preferred choice for families across North Texas.

We believe Dallas ISD will be the primary economic mobility engine for our city and county in 10 years. We ask you to join us as we invest in our students, teachers, and schools to create greater opportunities for every child in Dallas ISD.

Populations who have been historically marginalized and negatively impacted require a framework of equity-minded education, transformative leadership, and community engagement to have an opportunity at sustainable success.

Collaborating with the district's Racial Equity Office, Academic Services, and School Leadership Departments, we assure our funding initiatives are have cleared the lens of equity, access and inclusion.
