$5,000 Goal

The Dallas Mexican American Historical League (DMAHL) preserves the history and contributions of Mexican Americans to Dallas County. Since our founding in 2008, DMAHL has organized speaker series, walking tours, exhibits, panels, and preservation relationships to provide a more accurate history of the Dallas County. The organization has succeeded in submitting successful applications to the Texas Historic Commission to place markers of essential Mexican American sites throughout the City of Dallas.

Our Needs

For our fifteen anniversary celebration, DMAHL is working with the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library to host our fifteen year anniversary in the Fall of 2023. We are going to showcase the panels and accompanying documents of six of our previous exhibits. DMAHL is also producing two documentaries. One focusing on the founding of our organization and the other on the experiences of the earliest Mexican American residents of the City of Dallas. Both productions will be shown at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library.

Your contribution will help us produce the exhibit, documentaries, and support the essential work of our organization.
