For more than 70 years, The Legacy Senior Communities has remained steadfast in its mission: to provide compassionate, high-quality care rooted in Jewish values. Generations of families have entrusted us with their loved ones, and we take that responsibility to heart.

Throughout the decades, we have evolved to meet the changing needs of seniors-offering exceptional housing, care, and services while ensuring that Jewish traditions remain at the core of everything we do. From weekly Shabbat services to High Holiday celebrations, from kosher dining options to rabbinical guidance, The Legacy is more than a place to live-it is a place where Jewish heritage and community thrive.

L'dor V'dor-from generation to generation-we are responsible to honor our mothers and fathers who built a sustainable Jewish life in our community. Now, it is our turn to ensure they continue to age with grace and purpose, surrounded by the traditions and values that have guided us throughout our lives.

The Legacy cannot do this alone. Without the generosity of our donors, none of this would be possible. This outpouring of support is an act of loving kindness that has transformed the lives of countless seniors and their families. Your support ensures that no Jewish senior is left behind-providing care, connection, and a community that honors our traditions.

This is a pivotal moment for so many seniors who have spent their lives strengthening Jewish life, raising families, and giving to our community. Now, many depend on us.

Philanthropy must remain at the heart of what we do. Inspired by our past, let's come together to ensure every senior receives the compassion, security, and respect they deserve as we stand up for the most vulnerable among us.

Mission

The Legacy Senior Communities exists to provide a continuum of care to seniors and their families, offering compassion and preserving dignity, while embracing Jewish values and upholding the highest standards of excellence.

Needs

The Financial Assistance Fund - These funds further our commitment to our seniors, making our services available to those who need financial help in order to pay for care. Partnering with the Jewish community and the entire Legacy community, we plan to grow our endowment to ensure we have resources available to assist those in need.

Unrestricted - These donations offer the greatest flexibility for management, allowing our lay and executive leadership to use funds for our most pressing operational needs.

Jewish Life - These funds allow us to provide quality-of-life activities that distinguish The Legacy experience, such as our on-staff rabbi, kosher kitchens, and Jewish programming and activities.

Tribute & Memorial Gifts - Honor or remember someone by helping others. A card is mailed acknowledging the donation made, fund designated, and is able to include a short message from the donor.

Personal Assistance Services - Services decrease the risk of injury and hospitalization for seniors still living at home by providing assistance with: bathing, grooming and dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry, escort to doctors’ visits, shopping, errands, companion care, recovery from illness, and transitioning home from hospitalization.
