About Dallas DogRRR
Since our founding in 2015, Dallas DogRRR has been a beacon of hope for thousands of animals in need across Texas. Thanks to the unwavering support of our community, we've achieved what once seemed impossible:
Rescued and provided life-saving care to over 7,500 animals
Found loving forever homes for more than 6,500 dogs
Transported 1,400+ animals to safety, giving them a second chance at life
But our impact doesn’t stop there. Through our Community Hero Project, we’ve helped over 1,000 families keep their beloved pets by stepping in when hardship strikes. Whether it’s covering pet rent, providing food, offering supplies, vet care, or training support—we’re committed to keeping families together.
The Crisis We're Facing
Earlier this year, we experienced one of the most difficult moments in our organization’s history. We came dangerously close to closing our doors due to a critical funding shortfall. Thanks to an outpouring of support from our donors, we made it through—but the reality is: the need is only growing.
Animal shelters across Texas are overwhelmed. Owner surrenders are at an all-time high as families face rising costs, housing instability, and lack of access to resources. Every day, we receive urgent pleas to help dogs in crisis—dogs abandoned, neglected, or surrendered through no fault of their own.
We are being asked to do more with less—more rescue, more outreach, more support—while still recovering from the brink.
More Than Rescue
At Dallas Dog, we’re more than a rescue. We’re a lifeline.
We provide comprehensive rehabilitation, addressing both the physical and emotional trauma many of our dogs have endured. Our goal is not just to rescue—but to rebuild trust, restore health, and give each dog the tools they need to thrive in a forever home.
We also focus on long-term reform, working to change the systems that fail animals—through community education, outreach, advocacy, and support for responsible pet ownership.
North Texas Giving Day: Our Lifeline
With North Texas Giving Day on the horizon, we are asking for your help—now more than ever. This isn’t just another fundraiser. It’s the key to our survival, and the fuel for our future.
📅 Save the Date: May 15–31💥 Your donation can be DOUBLED! The first $100,000 in online gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar (up to $500 per donor) thanks to the Gigi Gartner Fund and Communities Foundation of Texas.

Our mission is to RESCUE the abandoned, REHABILITATE the broken, and REFORM the community - by utilizing The Community Hero Project to keep pets and their families together. Change must begin in the community that is where we change animal welfare.
Our Vision is to construct a community that feels empowered to fight the status quo. We want families backed by the support of fellow animal advocates in times of hardship and for all animals to feel the security of a loving home.
We are looking for donations of funds and resources to help us care for more than 1,000 animals per year that are taken into our rescue. Funds can be given through NTXGD or you can purchase items in our wish list by going to dallasdog.org/amazon-wish-lists
We are always in need of fosters, especially ones willing to take medium-large breed dogs. In addition to fosters, we are looking to recruit specialized volunteers with experience in the below:
Communications
Social Media
Volunteer Management
Grantwriting
We are an organization built on the backs of animal lovers across the metroplex and beyond. Animal rescue is powerful; it brings diverse communities together to invest in one common goal – the battle against dumping, surrendering, or euthanizing beloved pets. Our rescues have unique backgrounds and stories, as do you. We respect everyone – whether two legged or four legged.
