Dallas County Pioneer Association was founded by a group of early pioneer settlers as a way to preserve the county's earliest history and keep alive its memories and traditions. The group's first meeting was on July 13, 1875 and our non-profit organization celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2025! Mission
Dallas County Pioneer Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Dallas and to honoring the memories of all who settled in Dallas County before 1880. We do this through our website, publications, newsletter, meetings, and events. DCPA also partners with other organizations to promote local history and connect people to our shared heritage.
Needs
Funds donated to the DCPA are used locally to support the organization's various projects and events. Since its founding in 1875, the group has always focused on Dallas's pioneer history.
