Transform Lives: Support the International Dyslexia Association Dallas Branch!

Dear Friends,

Imagine a world where every child, no matter their learning differences, has the opportunity to reach their full potential. This is the world we’re striving to create at the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) Dallas Branch. But to make this vision a reality, we need your support.

The Challenge: Dyslexia affects 1 in 5 children, making it one of the most common learning disabilities. These bright, capable students often struggle in silence, facing challenges in reading, writing, and spelling that can lead to frustration, low self-esteem, and a sense of isolation. Without the right support, these children are at risk of falling behind in school and missing out on opportunities to succeed. Our goal is to unlock the potential of every student, helping them to thrive both in school and in life.

Here’s how you can make a difference:

  1. Donate Now: Every donation, no matter the size, helps us reach more children and families in need.

  2. Spread the Word: Share our mission with your friends, family, and colleagues. The more people who know about our work, the more support we can gather for these deserving students.

  3. Get Involved: Interested in doing more? Consider volunteering with IDA Dallas or attending one of our events. Your time and talents are just as valuable as any financial contribution.

Together, We Can Create a Brighter Future:Your generosity is the key to unlocking the potential of children with dyslexia. With your help, we can ensure that every child, regardless of their learning challenges, has the opportunity to succeed in school and beyond.

Thank you for your continued support and for being a champion for education. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The International Dyslexia Association - Dallas Branch

Giving Activity

Mission

The Dallas Branch of the International Dyslexia Association is committed to promoting literacy for individuals with dyslexia and related disorders through advocacy, education and support. We envision a world in which dyslexia and related disorders are not a barrier to literacy.

Needs

Every child deserves the opportunity to become a confident reader—but for children with dyslexia, the right support can be life-changing and often difficult for families to access.

The International Dyslexia Association – Dallas Branch serves families, educators, and communities across North Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. We help connect individuals with dyslexia to evidence-based resources, knowledgeable professionals, trained educators, and the support they need to succeed.

This North Texas Giving Day, we are asking our community to help us "Fund the Next Chapter."

Your gift will help us expand three areas of impact:

Student Scholarships

Specialized dyslexia intervention can make an extraordinary difference, but the cost can put effective instruction out of reach for many families. Donations help provide scholarships so more children can receive the structured literacy support they need to become stronger, more confident readers.

Teacher Scholarships & Training

One well-trained teacher can impact hundreds of students over the course of a career. Your support helps educators access dyslexia-specific training, resources, and professional development so they are better equipped to recognize and teach students with reading differences.

When you give to IDA Dallas, you aren't simply funding a program. You are helping a child read a sentence they once thought was impossible. You are giving a parent a place to turn. You are equipping a teacher to reach the student who has been struggling.

Every gift helps write the next chapter.

Fund the next chapter with us—#untileveryonecanread.

Equity Statement

At the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) - Dallas Branch, we believe in the fundamental right of every individual to access quality education and resources, regardless of their background, race, socioeconomic status, or ability. Dyslexia and related learning differences do not discriminate, and neither do we.

Our commitment to equity is reflected in our programs, advocacy, and outreach efforts. We strive to create an inclusive environment where all individuals, especially those from historically underserved communities, have the opportunity to reach their full potential. We recognize the systemic barriers that many face and are dedicated to breaking them down through education, support, and awareness.

As we embark on our fundraising campaign, we reaffirm our pledge to ensure that all contributions are used to promote equity and accessibility. Your support helps us provide scholarships, resources, and tailored interventions to those who need them most, ensuring that every voice is heard and every learner has the opportunity to succeed.

Together, we can build a future where literacy is not a privilege but a right, and where everyone can thrive—#UntilEveryoneCanRead.
