Giving Activity
Mission
Dallas Area Parkinson Society is dedicated to impacting and improving the lives of those affected by Parkinson's disease. We provide exercise classes, speech classes, and support groups. We have monthly educational series with professionals and experts in the field and events throughout the year.
Needs
In 2025, DAPS has focused on enhancing exercise opportunities to our neighbors in North Texas. In September DAPS will offer a new Dance for PD® class in Dallas. This fall, DAPS will begin training its exercise instructors to teach non-contact boxing, a well-researched program shown to help those with PD. Your donation will directly support over 16 exercise classes offered every week by DAPS. No matter where someone is in their journey with Parkinson's disease, we have a class to meet their needs. Your donation provides the necessary support to keep DAPS programs at no cost to attendees.
