Dallas Japanese Career Women

A nonprofit organization

DJCW (Dallas Japanese Career Women) was founded by two inspiring Japan working women: Yuko Kitamura & Hoshi Brooks in 2018. It is designed to connect and inspire Japanese working women as well as those who support such working women in Dallas/Fort-Worth area. DJCW always looks for opportunities to make every Japanese working woman grow and shine by providing encouraging, caring, and inspiring experiences. Since the inception, we expanded our reach through internet. During COVID, we started hosting online events to connect ALL Japanese career minded women in the world. Today, we have more than 300 members in the globe with more than half of them being in Dallas Fort-Worth Area. Some of the events to highlight are "connect with Japanese career women in the world", and providing internship opportunities to Japanese University students. One of our targets is to equip future generation of career women to shine and empower. Further, it has been our privilege to highlight successful women in the world who have connected social business and women's empowerment through our events.

Mission

We founded the organization to connect all Japanese career women, and those who want to work in the US and the world. Japan is ranked 19th of Gender Inequality Index within Human Development Index, by United Nation. Its rank is relatively low for develped nations.

Our organization provides events and platform for members to "Network, Inspire and Empower". We started to collaborate discussion events with Japanese Universities to foster the next generation of women.
