For over twenty-five years, The Dallas Architecture Forum (The Forum) has improved the quality of life in North Texas. We educate and engage our communities in order to enhance how we live through inspired, sustainable, and resilient design. The Forum is for everyone!  We bring the general public together with design professionals so we can learn more about design, architecture, urban issues, public policy, art,  and landscape from local, national; and international leaders in these fields. A not-for-profit 501(c) (3) corporation, The Forum is supported by our members, donors, sponsors, corporate members and the general public. Our extensive programming, including lectures, panel discussions, and symposia is made possible by a dedicated group of volunteers and board members supporting The Forum staff.  Your donation to The Forum through North Texas Giving Day is an essential and crucial component of support that allows us to fulfill our important mission.

The Forum’s followers include people in the design professions, cultural, business and community leaders, and citizens who care about good design and enjoy great camaraderie with others in The Forum community. Over 75,000 North Texans have attended our various programs and special events since our inception, with close to another 35,000 from around the world viewing our programs virtually. The Forum presents an annual Lecture Series that features nationally and internationally distinguished speakers from disciplines that include architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and urban planning. Our over 275 Lecture Speakers also include noted critics, writers, and historians and cultural leaders. The Forum has gained a national reputation for presenting respected thought leaders in their respective design fields. The Forum also presents an annual Series of Panel Discussions free to the public throughout the season that feature informal conversations focused on issues impacting the local community and its growth. Civic, non-profit and business leaders share their perspectives with our audiences as they discuss important topics in a casual and relaxed setting. Time for a Q and A with the audience rounds out these programs. Our Panel topics include affordable and multi-family housing, plans for parks and recreation for Dallas, development of the Trinity River core, urban development issues, trails and bicycling initiatives, various issues in underserved communities, the future of Fair Park and sustainable design. We also annually present Panels that feature local design leaders who discuss their craft, share some of their work and talk about what inspires their design processes. Pre-event informal and complimentary happy hours are a part of our events, and they provide our attendees the chance to network and connect with like-minded people...

The Forum has something for everyone who wants to learn more about architecture, public spaces, urbanism and design, and how they can make life better for the Dallas and North Texas communities.
