Poverty can hinder the progress of entire communities, creating lasting challenges for those affected. Thankfully, we have the opportunity to make a difference. The Dallas Morning News Charities supports 15 local organizations dedicated to helping individuals facing hunger and homelessness.

A gift of $25 can provide food and hope to someone in need. A gift of $100 can help a family move into transitional housing. The News pays all administrative costs of the campaign, which means 100% of all gifts go directly to the agencies for basic needs like food, shelter, emergency assistance, and job training.

Our Needs

Donations help provide food, clothing, transitional housing, financial assistance, and other forms of short-term relief to the homeless and those on the verge of homelessness. Making a difference only takes a moment. Giving a gift can change a life. To help, visit dmncharities.com. Thank you!

Mission

The Dallas Morning News Charities supports 15 North Texas nonprofits dedicated to helping neighbors facing hunger and homelessness. These organizations provide essential resources for food, clothing, and shelter to individuals, children, seniors, and families in need. Together, we help people take meaningful steps toward stability and independence.

Equity Statement

At The Dallas Morning News Charities, we believe that everyone, regardless of race, background, or circumstance deserves access to basic human needs: food, shelter, dignity, and opportunity. For nearly four decades, our mission has been rooted in a deep commitment to equity and compassion, working alongside a diverse network of nonprofit partners to address the systemic challenges of hunger and homelessness in North Texas. We recognize that poverty and housing insecurity disproportionately affect marginalized communities, which is why we partner with organizations that not only provide essential services but also work to create lasting change through inclusive, community-centered solutions.
