Needs
To meet the needs of both national cybersecurity and economic mobility, there is an urgent need to:
Expand equitable access to early exposure, education, and training in cybersecurity, especially in K–12 and community college settings.
Support workforce development programs that are flexible, affordable, and aligned with real-world industry needs.
Invest in scalable apprenticeship models that provide paid, hands-on experience, bridging the gap between learning and earning.
Foster industry partnerships that champion inclusive hiring and skills-based career pathways.
The Cyber Workforce Foundation addresses these needs by partnering with schools, community organizations, training providers, and employers to create inclusive and sustainable pathways into cybersecurity careers. Through awareness campaigns, advocacy, and support for hands-on learning initiatives, the Foundation aims to ensure that every learner—regardless of their background—can participate in and benefit from the digital economy.
