Mission
Cross Timbers Master Naturalist members volunteer in public spaces by guiding teaching walks in various parks and nature centers, testing water quality in local water bodies, monitoring bluebird boxes and nests, removing invasive plants such as privet, picking up trash, creating and maintaining pollinator gardens, monitoring bat species, and various other projects. CTMN members volunteer in Parker and Tarrant Counties.
Texas Parks and Wildlife and Texas AgriLife are sponsors of the Texas Master Naturalist Program and CTMN is one of 48 chapters in Texas.
The Texas Master Naturalist Program’s mission is to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities for the State of Texas. The Cross Timbers Chapter is part of the Texas Master Naturalist Program.
