Opened in August 2015 in Pleasant Grove, Cristo Rey Dallas (CRD) is a proud member of the national Cristo Rey Network, which for nearly thirty years has served students across the United States. Today, CRD provides nearly 500 students with a high-quality, affordable, college-preparatory education. Through CRD's rigorous curriculum, integrated with hands-on professional work-study placements and wraparound support services, students graduate ready to succeed in college and in life.
The signature component of CRD is the Corporate Work Study Program, through which students work one day each week at leading Dallas organizations, including Children's Health, Goldman Sachs, Jones Day, KPMG, Southwest Airlines, Sewell, JSX, NexBank, Moss, Highmark, and Vistra Corp. Our students also gain Valuable work experience at nonprofits such as the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dallas, the Dallas Zoo, St. Vincent de Paul Charitable Pharmacy, and the YMCA, broadening their perspectives and helping them become well-rounded professionals with a strong commitment to serving their communities. The program not only provides valuable professional experience but also enables students to earn nearly 50% of the cost of their education.
Cristo Rey Dallas also provides an academically rigorous classroom experience designed to prepare students for success at four-year colleges and universities. Beyond academics, every student benefits from comprehensive wraparound support, including dedicated college guidance, student life programming, nutrition assistance, and access to mental health services.
Cristo Rey Dallas relies on philanthropy, Corporate Work Study revenue, and family tuition payments based on ability to pay. The cost to educate a child is $20,000, however the average annual parent contribution is less than $2,000, making donor support essential to sustaining our mission.
This North Texas Giving Day, you can help bridge the gap between what our families can afford and what it truly costs to provide a transformational Cristo Rey education. Your gift invests in the next generation of college graduates, professionals, and community leaders. Join us in empowering students to realize their potential and build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and North Texas.
