The Cozy Catfe is a 501c3 non-profit organization. We rescue cats from the local shelters and bring them to the Cozy Catfe to live until they find their forever home. We have found homes for over 375 cats so far! Guests can come visit The Cozy Catfe, and for a small entry fee, come hang out with the cats in our kitty lounge and enjoy a beverage. All of the cats are available for adoption, except our two resident kitties, Poppy and Sammi. They live in a cageless environment and have lots of room to run around and play.
Our mission is to focus on cats who are about one year or older to give them a second chance. We visit the local shelters and adopt the kitties from there. We foster them at the cafe and take care of them, which can cost a lot of money! From food, to litter, to vet bills, to rent, and electricity, the costs can add up. We appreciate your donations to help us continue our mission.
The Cozy Catfe Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the lives of at-risk cats from local DFW shelters. Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, and cage-free environment where rescued cats can thrive while they await adoption into their forever homes. Through compassionate care, community engagement, and volunteer support, we work to reduce shelter overcrowding and give every cat the second chance they deserve.
The Cozy Catfe Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats from overcrowded and high-risk shelters in the DFW area. Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, and cage-free environment where rescued cats can live, heal, and thrive until they are adopted into permanent homes.
To continue this lifesaving work, we rely entirely on the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community support. As a small nonprofit, our most urgent needs include funding for:
Cat food and litter to provide daily care for dozens of resident cats.
Veterinary bills for spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and treatment for medical issues and emergencies.
Rent and utilities to keep our rescue and café space open, safe, and climate-controlled for both cats and visitors.
Every donation—large or small—directly supports the well-being of the cats in our care and helps us rescue more lives. With your help, we can continue offering second chances to cats who have nowhere else to turn.
At The Cozy Catfe Rescue, we believe that compassion, inclusion, and equity are essential to building a stronger community—for both people and animals. As a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing cats from local DFW shelters, we are committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where all individuals—volunteers, visitors, adopters, and community partners—are respected, valued, and empowered.
We recognize that barriers to animal adoption, volunteerism, and community involvement can reflect broader societal inequities. That’s why we strive to ensure our space is accessible, our services are inclusive, and our outreach reflects the diverse community we serve.
Equity at The Cozy Catfe means:
Welcoming people of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities into our rescue and volunteer programs.
Providing compassionate care and equal opportunity for every cat, regardless of age, breed, or background.
Engaging in ongoing reflection and growth to better understand and address disparities within our organization and community.
We are stronger together, and we are committed to fostering a culture where kindness and equity guide everything we do—from rescuing vulnerable cats to building lifelong connections with the people who love them.
