The Courcy Post 178 Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable purposes in support of children and youth programs; veterans of the armed forces of the United States of America, their families and children; charitable help for veterans health-care facilities and for other charitable purposes within the meaning of those terms as used in section 50l(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or the corresponding provision of any subsequent federal tax law and under the law of the State of Texas.
The Courcy Post 178 Foundation is dedicated to providing financial support to American Legion Boys State, Boy Scouts of America (Pack 178, Troop 178 & Venture Crew 178), High School Oratorical Speech Competition, K-12 School Awards and Emergency Assistance to Veterans in need. Additionally, the Foundation-intends to set up a sustaining scholarship program for local High School students.
