Our Needs

The Outdoor Student Enhancement - Playground Enhancement

The project consists of adding additional opportunities and equipment for more nature play and in ground musical instruments.  Music is a universal experience that inspires one to create and brings a sense of wonder to the play environment.    Adding shade structures outside classroom doors so the children can get some additional outside space designated to stimulate intellectual and gross motor development while fostering a positive association with movement and outdoor play.

Reflective of Montessori philosophy, Country Day School of Arlington is striving to include a variety of gross motor activities for the complete development of our students; including those that involve posture control, coordination of movements and locomotion.
