Corsicana, Texas – The Corsicana Animal Shelter Fund, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is asking the community to help transform the future of homeless animals in Navarro County by supporting the construction of the new Corsicana Adoption Center.
For years, the City of Corsicana Animal Shelter has struggled with overcrowding, limited resources, and an aging facility that was never designed to meet today's needs. The shelter regularly houses far more animals than its intended capacity, creating challenges for staff, volunteers, and the animals waiting for loving homes.
In response, local residents and volunteers formed the Corsicana Animal Shelter Fund to help raise the money needed to build a modern adoption center that will provide a safer, healthier environment for homeless pets while increasing adoption opportunities and improving animal welfare throughout the community.
The City of Corsicana has committed significant funding to the project, and community support is helping bridge the gap to make the new facility a reality.
The new Corsicana Adoption Center will feature:
• Improved housing for dogs and cats
• Dedicated adoption areas to help pets connect with families
• Space for medical care and recovery
• Areas for volunteer and community engagement
• Enhanced facilities designed to improve animal health and well-being
"We believe every animal deserves a safe place while they wait for a forever home," said Andrea Kurtz, Fundraising Coordinator for the Corsicana Animal Shelter Fund. "This project is about more than a building. It's about creating a lasting solution that will benefit our animals, shelter staff, volunteers, and community for generations to come."
The organization is currently seeking:
• Individual donations
• Monthly donors
• Corporate sponsors
• Event sponsors
• Volunteers
• Community partners
Residents can learn more, donate, or become involved by visiting www.furevr.org.
Upcoming fundraising events and community activities will continue throughout the year, with all proceeds supporting the Corsicana Adoption Center and future needs of shelter animals.
The Corsicana Animal Shelter Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
