For 20 years, Cornerstone Crossroads Academy (CCA) has been a place where young people have been given a second chance. A second chance to earn a diploma, to discover their purpose, to find pathways to success, to imagine a different future.
A faith-based high school, Cornerstone Crossroads Academy provides personalized education pathways, a community of support, and vocational training to students who face the greatest barriers.
CCA first opened its doors in 2006, when Jim and Jane Beckett said yes to starting a small school for youth who needed a place to continue their education after leaving the Dallas juvenile justice system.
Volunteers and ministry partners like Celeste Hamaker and Pastor Chris Simmons said yes to supporting CCA. Celeste contributed her educational expertise and zeal, and Pastor Chris and Cornerstone Baptist Church provided space, materials, and additional volunteers.
Teachers and staff said yes to pouring into students. Volunteers and donors have said yes to serving and giving to the CCA community. Churches, foundations, and community members said yes to cultivating opportunities for students in South Dallas. And students have said yes to showing up, doing their work, treating others with respect, and believing that their futures could look different. As of the 2025–2026 school year, we have nurtured 633 students, and 232 of those students have graduated with a high school diploma or GED.
The mission of Cornerstone Crossroads Academy is develop urban youth through transformative education, equipping future leaders to impact their communities for Christ.
Our needs include meals and healthy snacks, bus passes, case management, and curriculum for our students.
