About North Texas Giving Day

North Texas Giving Day is designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and causes they care about. Communities Foundation of Texas powers North Texas Giving Day and invests in technology, training tools, marketing and financial support for registered nonprofits. The community event enables nonprofits to attract new donors, fundraise effectively, and be a part of a philanthropic movement across the 20 counties.

This year, North Texas Giving Day celebrates its 16th year and has catalyzed $556 million in philanthropic support for 3,200+ nonprofits.

Why Give?

By extending your generosity, Communities Foundation of Texas can operate with excellence and continue to innovate, be effective and make a positive impact in our community.  Community partners, like you, allow North Texas Giving Day to reach new and returning donors through marketing, fund capacity building trainings and invest in resources to continue to make an impact across North Texas nonprofits.

Hundreds of hours are invested in making the Giving Season a success. The technology, media, trainings and support provided to nonprofits is powered by Communities Foundation of Texas. By supporting the North Texas Giving Day Fund, you are supporting community giving and building a thriving community for all.

From Nonprofits

“The support Black Women's Wall Street, Inc. receives from the community on NTGD allows us to provide quality service and materials to our Idea 2 Inception Cohort participants during the program. Also, those donations help to fund events that celebrate Black women in business, like The World Awaits Conference, which is our biggest event of the year."  - LaToya Barrow, Black Women's Wallstreet

“We have participated in North Texas Giving Day since the beginning! The collective impact of North Texas Giving Day on the Museum of the American Railroad has helped us secure funding for special projects, educational programming, and important exhibits over the years," Kellie Murphy, Museum of the American Railroad

“Thanks to the funds raised on North Texas Giving Day, we’re able to create new coding clubs at more school partners. In the past year, we’ve created after school coding clubs at three new Dallas ISD elementary schools. The money raised gave us the funding to cover our program expenses like software, after hours teach pay, and additional supplies," - Robyn Brown, BOLD Idea

Equity Statement

Communities Foundation of Texas is committed to advancing equity as one of our three strategic priorities to fulfill our mission and achieve our vision.

As your community foundation, our vision is of a community where every person has the opportunity to thrive. Our mission is to improve the lives of all people in our community, and we recognize that there are groups that have historically faced and continue to experience discrimination, injustice, and unequal access to basic resources, community spaces, and economic opportunities.

CFT believes that all community members:

should feel welcome, safe, and accepted;

should be treated with respect and dignity;

should have equitable access to opportunities to improve their lives and the lives of their families.

We are dedicated to both working internally with our staff and culture and learning and leading externally with partners across our community to create thriving communities for all.
