Congregation Shearith Israel serves more than 1,050 family members representing thousands of Jewish men, women, and children from dozens of zip codes and communities across Dallas and County Collins. Over the last few years, our Weitzman Family Religious School has experienced tremendous growth. Nearing 240 students, we face the critical opportunity to enhance the educational technology necessary to carry out effective teaching and learning.
This year Shearith's North Texas Giving Day goal is to raise $30,000 to support the Weitzman Family Religious School. Among other things, these funds will help the synagogue continue to strengthen the educational technology needed to improve the learning experience of our WFRS students.
We are excited to announce that as part of their recent generous grant to help us upgrade WFRS educational technology with 15 touchscreen VIBE Boards in our classrooms, the Weitzman family is offering a $15,000 matching grant for North Texas Giving Day. This means that for every dollar we raise they will match dollar for dollar which doubles the impact of your support. In addition, Communities Foundation of Texas will cover all transaction and technology fees. Every dollar you give will benefit WFRS!

The Weitzman Family Religious School engages Jewish students in creative, impactful and critical ways. The school is committed to enhancing our educational outcomes through meaningful programs, valuable curricula, quality teachers, updated technology, and overall, excellence in religious school education.
We find ourselves this year at a critical intersection with our educational needs. We are seeking to raise funds to secure technological enhancements for this academic year so that we can continue to carry out our educational vision.
By raising $30,000 we will be positioned to make significant strides in elevating the technological infrastructure of our educational community. These funds will enable us to purchase additional Vibe Boards, tablets, laptops, and other enhancements.
Your support will help us not only help us achieve these goals but also significantly enhance our capacity to provide more comprehensive services, increase our ability to change curriculum and ultimately save cost and energy for our Weitzman Religious School leadership, staff, teachers and maintenance workers.
